LCD Enhancements
As the Notebook and LCD markets have developed the request of these technologies has required some slight modifications to the
normal LCD performance originally envisioned by the LCD Manufactures. This is very evident in two categories.
- AR - Anti Glare Films: This film is applied in a clean room environment free of any dust partials and is applied on the
surface of the LCD. It reduces the glare and reflection on the surface of the LCD.
- BEF - Brightness Enhancement Films:These films are applied in various combinations of 2 or more films. In short it takes
the light produced by the CCFL bulb inside the LCD which is more efficient and better at redirecting the light to the front of
the LCD thus improving the performance and increasing the brightness on average by 50%.
With the increasing use of notebook computers as entertainment devices, the manufactures have added both AR and BEF films to
certain model notebooks as a way to better market to certain Models.

The enhancement can be retro-fitted to any other model and we have the expertise and facilities to do this work in our state of the art facility.
Does AGParts repolarize scratched LCD screens?
Yes. AGParts has the facility and experience to provide this option. This process is done in-house in our clean room and comes with a 120 day warranty.
Does AGParts replace backlights?
Yes we do provide backlight replacements. Backlight replacements will increase the overall life of the LCD as CCFL backlights are
often the first thing in an LCD to fail. A simple replacement can save the end user from having to purchase a new LCD screen.
AGParts CCFL bulbs are high brightness and high contrast backlights. The CCFL lamp is installed on the under side of the LCD panel
and will give you the following advantages:
- Increases display contrast,
- Increases display brightness; and
- Images are clearer and sharper.
Can AGParts install my screen for me?
Yes, AGParts certified technician can install your LCD screen in our Pennsylvania location. Turnaround time is usually 24 hours and
no longer than 48 hours. If we are unable to process within our time frame, we will make sure you receive notification via phone or
e-mail. When sending us your laptop please make sure to securely wrap it in bubble wrap and make certain if you are using the
original packing that it fits tightly. This is to ensure it is protected during shipping. Please note that bent or cracked Styrofoam
from original packaging can cause your laptop to shift which could cause damage. Please contact a sales associate
for more information prior to sending us your laptop.
For most notebook computers, removing the LCD is very straightforward but does require the use of a screwdriver and applying pressure to open the bezel. If
you are comfortable with tools and have a DIY mentality then we can assist you with our removal instructions or you can give us a call and we can assist you
over the phone.
Installation requires a small Phillips screwdriver, a sharp object (knife, exacto blade, etc), and 20 minutes of your time. Please

Does AGParts provide laptop repair services?
Yes, we do. With our skilled technicians we can test and repair your Notebook computers for any problem including:

Does AGparts repair cracked notebook screens?
No, unfortunately cracked notebook screens are not repairable.
Will AGParts buy my laptop LCD screen?
Yes we never turn down a new source that can supply us notebook LCD screens. Nonetheless, we are only interested in the
purchase of large quantities of new, refurbished or pulled LCD screens (ONLY) that are in good condition.
